the archipelago publishes creative work that emphasises transnational relationships and destabilises static ideas around borders, nation, geography. We typically publish short stories, poetry, essays, fine art, photography, film, but we are open to all works that think critically on themes such as mobility, geography, and decolonisation, regardless of form.
We welcome writers and artists from any location, it does not matter what citizenship you hold. See below about submission languages.
Send your work by email to [email protected] We prefer reading complete works, but also accept pitches for a piece you intend to create.
Make sure to tell us about yourself in your email. Let us know what experiences make you the best person to craft the piece you’re pitching us.
We are only able to reply to successful pitches. Note that we only consider original works, we will not consider works that have previously been published elsewhere.
Payment rates vary depending on the length and complexity of the work.
