Mac Donald Ernest Dixon

He was born on the island of Saint Lucia in the West Indies and active in creative pursuits since 1964. Despite having written several short stories, four novels and fourteen plays, he seems to be best known for his poetry. In 1994, his country honoured him with the Saint Lucia Medal of Merit for his contribution to literature and photography, and in 2006 he was honoured with a lifetime achievement award by the Saint Lucia’s Cultural Development Foundation.
